Arena Round the World, Radios in Stadiums and Arenas

headset. earphonesArticle of the Day………ok so i haven’t got an article every day, but when i get an opportunity I’ll post articles that I find fascinating. Fortunate enough here is one of those articles that I read and had to share. Should you enjoy it as much as me, please add one of the special social media likes, you know the one that tells everyone you enjoyed something, rather than you sat on your arse and watched Television!

Stadiums are used for a great many things. It could be a weekend football game, a pop concert or another kind of sporting event. The recent London Olympics reminded many British people of our country’s great sporting traditions and, as a result, more and more people are flocking to large-scale stadium events, be they cultural, athletic or simply a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

A well-run stadium is almost like a miniature town; there are people working at food stalls, cleaners, V.I.Ps, fully trained paramedics, merchandise salesmen (and Women), car park attendants, managers, photographers, artist’s entourages, stage personnel, security guards, groundsmen (and Women!) and more others than I can think of right now. Whatever the event is, you can bet that there will be a committed group of professionals making sure that everyone is safe and well looked after. These people communicate with one another via the use of two-way radios.

Given the sheer size and scale of a modern stadium, it would be quite impossible for some of the employees to reach areas of the venue that require their immediate attention without the use of radios. Two-way radios keep the staff connected and on the same page regarding the smooth running of the stadium itself.

In an accident, or in case of fire, for example, emergency services need always to have a way into the grounds. Personnel already employed by the venue need to be able to work with these emergency services in the event of an accident. Employees need to liaise quickly with one another, especially during situations where lives are very much at stake. How do they do this? They use their radios, of course.

To this end, the Stadium Safety Officer has one of the most important jobs in the entire venue. Their responsibility is to implement a stadium’s safety or security strategy in the event of an accident or emergency, as well as to ensure that the strategy is workable in all situations and eventualities.

All layers of a stadium’s workforce, from the security in the front row of a rock gig, to the person who examines your ticket at Saturday’s game, have to be contactable easily, reliably and instantly. Two-way radios have been in use at venues like these for many years now and it is unlikely that this trend will stop any time soon.

2 Way Radio – An Essential Mode of Communication

With very little information on the internet about radio earpiece’s, it is very rare when we get a chance to re post, with permission, an article from this industry.

headset. earphonesAs we all know communication is the solution for every problem, we must know about one of the easiest and reliable source known as 2 Way Radio. As the name suggests, in two way radios, the communication happens two ways. In this type of radio, we can send and receive messages both alternatively. This sending and receiving can only happen when both the sender and receiver are operational under same channel frequency.

There are many types of two way radios which exist in this world. These can be of the following types:
Trunked
Half duplex
Conventional
Duplex
Mobile phones are also one type of two way radio systems, the only difference being both sending and receiving can happen simultaneously. To work, a mobile phone requires a base transceiver system to receive the signal and relocate the signal to different users. These walike talkies are used by many militants, entrepreneurs, and civilians who all reside in the rural areas where network is a major issue.

With the world moving towards digitization, let’s talk about digital two way radios. Digital two way radios use binary system to send and receive messages. They are the upgraded technology which provides superior voice clarity and simultaneous sending receiving option.
Though in comparison to the previous analogue radios, they are complex in functionality. They can be used with many newly available applications (software related) and can also reduce the usage of bandwidth. Individuals have to be cautious while using the ignitable and sodden locations.

These can cause modulations in the voice quality and can even hinder the communication in far off places. These issues pertaining to poor network in far off places can be resolved using PMR radio (Professional mobile radios). PMRs basically transfer small data and voice related messages in rural areas where the network is the concerned issue.
It is used for both personal and commercial use within a limited short range of distance. Depending upon the requirement, you can choose from the available range of PMR radio and DMR radio. Like for commercial, large distance, and data safety purpose, one should go for Trunking systems with repeaters.

Whereas license free radio is used for short distances and compared to others these are economical in price. Licence free radio is yet another very interesting type of radio, which has potentially replaced the large sized safety radios. They are very small in size and are equipped with small and powerful antennas.
These antennas can help in transmitting the high quality voice messages across to another user within a limited space.

Bluetooth Headset Walkthrough For Newbies

The world is filled with very awesome, well written posts. When you find one which catches your eye, you have to post it, well i do! so with authorization of the original blogger i have re-posted this for you to benefit from

Bluetooth is one of the more common technologies that are embedded in most modern laptops, many mobile phones including the budget models, and various other portable devices that need to share data with another device or peripheral. Because of its implementation in so many devices, many Bluetooth peripherals were made including Bluetooth mice, Bluetooth remote controls and Bluetooth headsets. The Bluetooth headset is quite popular in its own right because it can connect to different types of devices that have the Bluetooth specification.

Why you might Need It

A Bluetooth headset is all about hands-free communication allowing users to freely communicate with other individuals without any wires in the way and any discomfort issues. It can be linked to a laptop through Bluetooth so you can load up your favorite instant messengers or online telecommunication services to voice chat with. It can also link to cellular phones so you can make or answer phone calls even if the mobile phone is in their pocket.

Some of these headsets have buttons that are dedicated to answering or ending a call along with volume control buttons. Sony even offers its own Bluetooth headset that can work with its Playstation 3 console allowing players to communicate with others during game play.

How to Choose One

Choosing a good Bluetooth headset should depend entirely on how often you plan to use the peripheral. If you plan on using it everywhere you go including indoors while on the computer or gaming, you should get a comfortable headset with ergonomic ear hook and foam for prolonged usage. It is also important to get a device that has a long battery life or is chargeable for multiple uses. Some of the versatile headsets can easily charge by plugging them on to a laptop via USB.

If you are going to use the headset primarily for phone conversations, good sound quality is recommended along with noise cancellation features and extra call-dedicated buttons are a must for better control of the mobile device. Some extra features to look out for are special LEDs as a sign that the device is in use or not.

If you own multiple Bluetooth-enabled devices, you might benefit from headsets that can connect to 2 different devices simultaneously where switching from one device to another is as easy as pressing a button. Finally, the overall design of the headset can be a factor as well especially if you plan to take it with you for business meetings.

Setting it Up

Bluetooth headsets are easy to set up and are quite similar to pairing other Bluetooth devices together. Just make sure the device’s Bluetooth function is on and is recognizable for the headset to connect. The exact process may vary so consult the user’s manual as well. Most of these headsets require a simple setup procedure for each device so that future connections pair up automatically.

A good Bluetooth headset has many nice functions and should cost less than $60 for something that is comfortable and has decent sound quality. It aims to make listening and talking easy without the annoying wires.
